450g Flaked Rice

17g. H. Hersbrucker (Whole, 4.0 %AA) boiled 60 minutes.

Yeast: White Labs WLP840 or 2 packs of S-23


Original Gravity: 1.051

Terminal Gravity: 1.004

Bitterness: 7.2 IBU

Alcohol (%volume): 6.1 %


Mash @ 65C for 60 min

Boil for 90 min

Sparge water @ 80C

top up with 8L at end of mash

batch 2 =14.2L



Ferment @ 10C. Lager for at least 4 weeks.


For extract version substitute the Pilsner malt with 3.6kg of extra light spraymalt and the Flaked rice with 0.45kg of rice syrup.
